Ciudad Real coach, Talant Dujshebaev talks to Eurohandball.com as the most important part of the season is about to begin.
Dujshebaev: Ready for the fight!
The coach of Ciudad Real, Talant Dujshebaev, knows that his team are facing the most important period of the season. The Spanish top club and the defender of the CL title will have the chance to win two great competitions: Spanish League and Champions League. However the challenge is tough: Ciudad will have to perform perfectly in the next six weeks.
Eurohandball.com: What is the current form of your team?
Dujshebaev: I’m satisfied with our recent results. We can improve as always, but we have overcome difficult situations. We are in a good situation now.
Eurohandball.com: The victory in Pamplona last week was very important in the Asobal League.
Dujshebaev: Of course. Every coach knows what a difficult away court that is. It was a hard triumph; Portland had a great game. The final score did not reflect it because they had a lot of problems, but they were only defeated in the last four minutes.
Eurohandball.com: Are you optimistic about the future of your team?
Dujshebaev: Yes, I am. We went through two important months of the season, February and March. We had big games and we gave our best. We have the chance again to win two important titles and we are ready to fight for it.
Eurohandball.com: What about the injured players?
Dujshebaev: Petar Metlicic has only minor problems and he will be ready for the next games. Davis and Rutenka are also doing very well and I hope that I can count on them soon. The condition of Urios is the same as in the last two seasons, so we will know how to replace him.
