No stop for Ciudad Real
Ciudad Real, preparing for the Final of the EHF Champions League, want to make sure that the fans will be able to follow the team to Germany. Accordingly, the club offers a charter flight for the fans so that they can watch the first leg game in Kiel.
The team and the management of the club will also take this charter plane. It will be a chance for the fans to spend two days “inside the club” and watch a great match at one of the most famous courts of European handball.
Carlos Prieto on loan to Löwen
Ciudad Real has announced on their official website that the Spanish line player, Carlos Prieto, will be playing for the German Rhein Neckar in the next three seasons.
Prieto will be transferred on loan to Germany. Currently the Spanish international is playing for Valladolid. Prieto signed for Ciudad Real back in 2002.
Uroš Zorman heading to Celje
Despite his contract valid for two more years in Ciudad Real, Uroš Zorman will return to Celje Pivovarna Laško. The Slovenian and the Spanish club have agreed in the transfer of the player. The Slovenian playmaker will return after three years.
Zorman achieved everything a handball player possibly can on a club level: he won all Spanish titles and also the Champions League trophy twice – once with Celje, once with Ciudad Real.
The 29-year old Slovenian wanted to return home for personal reasons. After agreeing for two years with Celje he said:
"I’m very happy for coming home to Celje. The club is one of the most successful ones in Slovenia. I already spent here two and a half beautiful years. Even though the club is going through difficult times, I’m sure we will return to the top."
Busy period in Celje
The famous Slovenian club is also negotiating with Aleš Pajovič (Ciudad Real) and Renato Vugrinec (Portland San Antonio), but David Špiler, Dragan Gajič, Mirsad Terzić and Miha Gorenšek will leave at the end of the season. There are also four or five other players who are about to leave the club.
