Arbitration Tribunal proceedings

As reported by various media sources, the EHF Arbitration Tribunal has started proceedings involving the 2008/09 Women’s Challenge Cup semi-final 2nd leg game between Izmir BSB Sk (TUR) and Thüringer HC (GER) played on 19 April 2009.

Based on reports submitted by EHF match officials on the conduct of the Turkish club officials, the Arbitration Tribunal intends to clarify the circumstances around the game, while the performance of the referees is currently not the primary subject of the proceedings.

In the next step of the procedure, the arbitrators handling the case will be appointed by the President of the Arbitration Tribunal. The EHF will keep the public informed on the status of the procedure.
