Rutenka is ready for Kiel

Barcelona’s international player Siarei Rutenka is prepared to face the Sparkassen Arena in Kiel for the next CL game. This match might be one of the hardest since his transfer from Ciudad Real to the Palau Blau Grana.

But the strong German club did not impress the Barça star in the previous clash: "We know that our team is not worse than theirs. We will have our chance to win, but this means we have to show good collective handball. It will for sure be a very hard and complicated game."

Rutenka went on to analyze the game: "It is evident that we are human and we can have bad days. But against Kiel it is very important for us to avoid any mistakes that would give them an opportunity for a counter attack. In Omeyer they also have a great goalkeeper; also in front of the net we must not make mistakes."

The atmosphere in the Sparkassen Arena Rutenka does not see as influential: "It is a great place to play. But there are other, smaller halls where you will find more noise on the stand."

In the end Siarei expressed his feelings about Barrufet’s decision of to retire next June: "I am really proud to play with him. A victory in Kiel would be a perfect present for him."
