Budućnost new WRHL Champion

Budućnost T-Mobile won the Final Four tournament of the Women's Regional Handball League, played in Podgorica last weekend.

In first semi-final Hypo defeated Podravka 36:26 (18:13) with Hypo’s Nascimento scoring 13 goals. The second semi-final match saw Budućnost defeat Krim 32:28 (14:12). The goalkeepers Knezović and Grubišić had 15 saves each. Buducnost’s Serbian right back Bulatović was best scorer with 9 goals.

Thriller final

In the final Budućnost defeated Hypo with 30:29 (19:15). Again Bulatović managed to score 9 goals – and the last one was decisive for the Montenegrin victory. On Hypo’s side Nascimento and Limal scored 7 goals each.

In the 3 / 4 game Podravka defeated Krim 36:32 (18:15). Keepers Jelčić and Stefanišin were great in goal having 16 saves each, Penezić was best scorer with 12 goals.

Best scorer of WRHL in season 2009/2010 was Alexandra Do Nascimento (Hypo) with her 117 goals; best goalkeeper was Jelena Grubišić (Krim), best player was Andrea Penezić (Podravka) and best coach was Marta Bon (Krim).
