Women's 19 European Championship Qualification
The Netherlands will not only organise the Women’s EHF EURO 2012, but already this year host a major European women’s handball event. The final tournament of the Women’s 19 European Championship 2011 will be carried out from 04 to 14 August 2011.
Playing venues for handball players born 1992 and younger will be Amelo, Arnhem, Leek, Maastricht and Rotterdam.
29 teams registered for the tournament, five teams are already qualified: Netherlands as organisers, Denmark, Russia, Norway and France after their places 1-4 at the 2009 Women’s 17 European Championships in Serbia.
The 24 remaining teams participate in the qualification for the eleven available places at the final tournament.
Qualification Modus
On 25 September 2010 at the occasion of the EHF Congress in Copenhagen, Denmark, the teams were drawn into six groups of four teams each.
The qualification will be played out in six group tournaments on 21-24 April 2011, with each national team facing every group opponent once. From Groups 1-5 the two best teams will qualify, from Group 6 only the group winners.

Final Tournament Draw
The draw of the four groups at the final tournament will take place on 27 April 2011 in Leek, Netherlands, at approximately 17:30 hrs (local time). It is part of a combined event with the draw of the Women’s EHF EURO 2012. The entire draw event will be broadcast on a live web stream on the official event website www.ehf-euro.com/NED2012/.
