VELUX EHF FINAL4 tickets are in high demand as interest from across the world continues to grow
More than 50,000 ticket requests for the VELUX EHF FINAL4
In three weeks, the handball world will meet in Cologne in order to celebrate the highlight of European and world club handball, the VELUX EHF FINAL4, together with 40,000 fans.
After tickets were out of stock for weeks, reserved quotas were retrieved from all the four participating clubs on Wednesday after the semifinal draw. These tickets are available directly from the clubs.
Since the identification of the participants, the phones have not stopped ringing at the EHF, in the ticket shop and in the LANXESS arena. The organizers could have sold approximately 50,000 tickets for the VELUX EHF FINAL4 in total.
Number of international visitors doubled
Last year, around 4,000 international guests travelled to the VELUX EHF FINAL4. This number will double in 2012 to 8,000. People from almost every country in Europe will attend the event. Ticket orders were even received from the U.S. and South Korea.
"The ticket demand is still overwhelming. The draw, and thus the guarantee of a German finalist has triggered a veritable flood of requests among German fans. We could sell out the LANXESS arena twice," said Peter Vargo, Managing Director of the organizer EHF Marketing GmbH, facing the enormous interest.
Ticket sale for the 2013 VELUX EHF FINAL4 already starts on the final day of this year's event, Sunday 27 May 2012.
