French right back Xavier Barachet and Croatian defence specialist Jakov Gojun make up the transfers for new season for the team from Madrid.
Reinforcements as squad rejuvenation
The reinforcements were brought in with rejuvenation in mind, last season’s team struggled with a team that with an average age of 31,6 years old.
Xavier Barachet (23) arrives from Chambery Savoie, he will replace right back Isaías Guardiola (27) who is moving to Germany to play for Rhein-Neckar Löwen.
Meanwhile, Jakov Gojun (26) will pick up where Didier Dinat (35) left off in the centre of defense. Dinat will wear the colours of Paris Handball next season.
The Croatian Gojun can play in left back in attack covering Alberto Entrerríos’s (35) position from last season. Entrerríos will leave Atlético de Madrid and follow his teammates to France, however, he will play next three years in French league for HBC Nantes.
30 years old centre back, Álvaro Ferrer, who reached last year EHF Champions League quarter-finals with Reale Ademar de León, will fill the shoes of Chema Rodríguez (32) who departs to Hungarian champions MKB Veszprem.
Four reinforcements could turn into five if French right wing Luc Abalo decides to return France to play for Paris Handball.
