Ana Radovic leaving Buducnost for Kif Vejen

After seven years with the club Ana Radović is leaving Budućnost to play in Denmark with Kif Vejen.

She has signed a one-year contract with the team who finished 9th in the last domestic season.

"The team didn’t have much success last season, but now everything is different; the team and the motives - I have made a good choice," commented Radović, who played against Kif Vejen two season ago in the Cup Winners’ Cup final when Budućnost went on to win the trophy.

"I won EHF Champions League with Budućnost, now I have other priorities. My goal is to spend more time on the court.

"I want to try out the Danish league, which is said to be the best in Europe.

"The game is different there, the Scandinavian type of handball, and I think I will fit in well, I believe I am the type of player for it," added Radović.

Radović, who is a Montenegrin national team player, came to Budućnost seven years ago from Serbian outfit Medicinar as one of Europe's greatest talents.

In seven years, she has won two trophies in the Cup Winners' Cup (2006, 2010), three consecutive regional leagues and finally the EHF Champions League title on 13 May of this year.

Leaving Montenegro not easy for Radovic

The decision to leave the capital of Montenegro was not easy.

"I spent seven wonderful years in Budućnost, everything that happened was perfect.

"Budućnost will always be the club that I love the most. But, I am 26 years old, I am no longer that young and it was time for a change," concluded Radović.

Big personnel changes for Budućnost

Radović is the sixth player who has left Budućnost this summer, after Katarina Bulatović (Oltchim Rm.Vâlcea), Sonja Barjaktarović (Rostov-Don), Ana Đokić, Dijana Jovetić and Adriana Tacalie (Corona Brasov), while Bojana Popović and Maja Savić decided to retire from professional handball.

For next season, Budućnost has signed five new players, French player Claudine Mendy, two Croatians Katarina Ježić and Katarina Bralo, and two Serbians Jelena Trifunović and Jelena Živković.
