Dimano Minsk starts the new season with new faces
The qualification for the VELUX EHF Champions League is within the grasp of the Belarusian champion HC Dinamo Minsk.
The team will play against Turkish champion Besiktas in a knockout match to qualify for the VELUX EHF Champions League.
For the upcoming season, Dinamo made some changes in the squad.
For a start, Minsk signed two new goalkeepers, Dimitrije Pejanović (38) and Vadim Bogdanov (26).
Pejanović comes from the Spanish Torevieja.
With his national team, Serbia, he participated at the World Championship in 2009 and 2011 and the EHF EURO 2010.
His Russian colleague Bogdanov comes from St. Petersburg HC (RUS) that played in last season’s VELUX EHF Champions League.
The Montenegrin “hero” Vasko Ševaljević (24) also joins Dinamo.
He will reinforce the team on the left back and the playmaker positions.
Ševaljević spent his last two years in the Spanish team Amaya Sport (formerly Portland San Antonio).
Furthermore, Ševaljević secured the Montenegrin participation on the World Championship 2013 when he scored the decisive goal in the qualification match against Sweden only nine seconds before the final whistle.
Another new player is Mykola Stetsyura (26).
The Ukrainian left back comes from Saint Raphael, France.
The last player joining Dinamo Minsk in the new season is left wing Oleg Skopintsev (28) coming from the Russian champion Chekhovskie Medvedi.
