Men’s World Championship draw - Update

The lots for the Preliminary Round groups have been drawn in Jardines Cecilio Rodríguez del Parque del Retiro in the Spanish capital, Madrid.

The World Championship will be played from 11 to 27 January 2013 in Barcelona/Granollers, Madrid, Zaragoza, Seville and Guadalajara with the final weekend in Barcelona.

The Preliminary Round is to be played from Friday 11 to Saturday 19 January. Afterwards the teams will proceed to eight-finals, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and the Final that will be played on Sunday 27 July in Barcelona.

Host Spain was seeded in Pot 1 and had the possibility to choose their pot for the Preliminary Round. Valero Rivera, the coach of the Spanish team, chose Group D.
