Schedule of first seven MOTW released

Seven big clashes in the first seven rounds of the 20th season of the VELUX EHF Champions League will be featured as "Match of the Week" (MOTW) on ehfTV.com.

These top matches will include a free of charge live web stream with English commentary by handball expert Tom O’Brannagain. They also offer additional footage and special camera setups. The focus of this initiative is to offer a wide variety of matches featuring different clubs and venues to give handball fans a real flavour of the competition.

The project MOTW goes into its third year on the first weekend of the new season with the match BM Atletico Madrid against THW Kiel (Sunday 30.09.2012, 18:00 CET). Tom will travel to Spain to commentate the game between the two VELUX EHF Champions League finalists of the past season.

“The VELUX EHF Champions League is the blue riband of sporting competitions for me. I am privileged to get to watch top quality teams in action. This year there are so many challengers and I cannot wait to see what potential shows through in promise,” said O’Brannagain who will also contribute with his behind-scenes blogs for ehfCL.com this season.

The cooperation between ehfTV.com and O’Brannagain started in the season 2008/2009 at the Final in Kiel. Tom, an Irish national, is a former handball player and coach of the Ireland national team. He has a long career in television and radio in Ireland.
