Milašević back in the squad

After a great start of EHF EURO 2014 qualifications and victories against Germany and Czech Republic, Montenegro is now stepping up preparations for the 2013 World Championship in Spain.

The national team coach, Zoran Kastratović unveiled a 19 man squad with just one new name added to the team that beat Germany and Czech Republic.

Mirko Milašević, who plays club handball for Spanish team Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto, is back in the squad, after he missed the last two games because he was without a club at the start of this season, and went to Spain just days before the EHF EURO 2014 qualification games.

Milašević has been a part of the team since 2007 and played also at the EHF EURO 2008 in Norway, the first ever major competition for Montenegro.

Kastratović also announced the plan of preparation for Spain. The team will gather on 24 December in Podgorica, and travel to the sea, to Budva, where the squad will train until 30 December.

In that period, Montenegro will play two friendly games with Ukraine on 28 and 29 December.

After three rest days for the New Year, the team will continue to work on 2 January travelling to Denmark the following day to play an international tournament, from 4 to 6 January with Denmark, Slovenia, and Tunisia.

On 7 January, Montenegro will travel from Denmark directly to Granollers and train there until the start of the 2013 World Championship.
