Nine tickets to Bosnia and Herzegovina at stake
Seven European cities - Panningen/NED, Dabas/HUN, Michalovce/SVK, Krefeld/GER, Bar/MNE, Gomel/BLR and Craiova/ROU will host the tournaments of the Qualification Europe for the Men's U21 World Championship in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the upcoming weekend (4-6 January 2013). In total, 28 teams are vying for nine tickets to the event, which will be played in Sarajevo, Ljubuški, Zenica and Banja Luka from 14 to 28 July 2013.
Two teams each will qualify from Group 1 and 2, one team will qualify from Groups 3 to 7. The first substitute will be the second ranked team in Group 3, the second substitute will be the second ranked team in Group 4 and the third substitute will be the second ranked team in Group 5.
Three nations have already qualified: the event’s host Bosnia and Herzegovina, the winners of the 2012 Men’s 20 European Championships, Spain, and runners up, Croatia.
Group 1: Slovenia, Iceland, Netherlands, Ukraine in Panningen/NED
Group 2: Sweden, Portugal, Hungary, Belgium in Dabas/HUN
Group 3: Denmark, Serbia, Slovakia, Greece in Michalovce/SVK
Group 4: Germany, Czech Republic, Finland, Austria in Krefeld/GER
Group 5: Norway, France, Montenegro, Estonia in Bar/MNE
Group 6: Switzerland, Poland, Belarus, Italy in Gomel/BLR
Group 7: Russia, Turkey, Israel, Romania in Craiova/ROU
