Danish Handball Association releases first allocation for the Danish team's matches in Herning
Tickets for EHF EURO 2014 go on sale
The Danish Handball Association, in cooperation with the European Handball Federation, has released for sale the first allocation of tickets for the Men's EHF EURO 2014 in Denmark.
"In Denmark there is an enormous interest in the upcoming European Championship and to give our faithful fans an opportunity to secure their tickets for the Preliminary Round and for the Main Round already now, we have agreed with the EHF to release 4,500 tickets per matchday for Denmark’s matches in Herning," said Per Bertelsen, president of the Danish Handball Association and a member of the EHF Executive Committee.
Tickets for the six matchdays in Herning during the Preliminary Round and the Main Round can be purchased online via the Danish Handball Association and via Danish online ticket provider Billetnet.
“The 2014 European Championship will be the absolute highlight of what Denmark has to offer as a host of sports events at the very highest level," the Danish men's national coach, Ulrik Wilbek, said from Spain where his team is currently competing at the 2013 World Championship.
"The Danish Handball Association, the team and I are very pleased to welcome the European handball family to experience the heart of handball at Denmark 2014.
"We will make our biggest effort to give everybody a warm welcome and to have all our handball friends feel the warmth of Danish hospitality."
All other tickets – including tickets for matches in the three other EHF EURO host cities (Aalborg, Aarhus, Copenhagen) – will be put up for sale as soon as the Preliminary Round groups are drawn at the end of June 2013.
The Men's EHF EURO 2014 will take place from 12 to 26 January 2014.
