EHF Cup Finals: 100 days to go

Things are getting much faster ... Although the countdown to the premiere edition of the EHF Cup Finals started way back last year, when the French city of Nantes was awarded the hosting rights of the event, on Thursday the new handball spectacle is just 100 days away.

"100 days prior the beginning of the Men's EHF Cup Finals, the club prepares itself to be the capital city of European handball for a whole week. This topic gets a stronger echo these days as we're beginning our Group Phase campaign this Sunday in Bacau, Romania,” the President of HBC Nantes Gaël Pelletier said.

“We're working hard to be worth of this top event and of the trust that has been given to us. In the meantime, the party would be even greater if we achieve to qualify for the Finals. So, right from this weekend onwards, the whole club will feel the rhythm of the Men's EHF Cup. Countdown has begun... D-100," Pelletier added.

At the Group Phase draw in Belgrade last December the new official ball of the Men´s EHF Cup was presented and just several days before reaching the Day 100, the official logo of the EHF Cup Finals was created and launched.

Next milestone on the road to Nantes will be Sunday, 17 February. On the fringes of the first home match of the hosting club in the EHF Cup Group Phase the official contract will be signed between local organisers and the EHF represented by its President Jean Brihault.

On the same day the ticket sale for the final tournament will be launched by the organising club.
