Mehmedović back in team, Bulatović with broken nose
One good, but also one bad news for fans and coach of Budućnost before Sunday’s match with Randers, third game for both team in the EHF Champions League Main Round. Left wing Majda Mehmedović is ready to play, first time since 9 December, when at EHF EURO 2012 game against Hungary injured her right knee.
The rehabilitation period lasted longer then predicted, and she missed the first two games in Main Round. Mehmedović was in the team against Larvik last week, but didn’t play a single minute, because she was not ready. But, against Randers she will play…
“Majda will surely be on the court field in this game. Step by step she is fiting into the system of the game, and restoring the sense for play,” Dragan Adžić said.
But, new problem came from the Thursday’s training session when middle back Anđela Bulatović broke her nose! Fortunatly for her, the injurie is not too serious, and Bulatović should be able to help her teammates against Randers, even without special mask, as announced.
“Doctors allowed Anđela to play on Sunday, I believe she will help us,” Adžić added.
After two games, both Budućnost and Randers have no points in Group 1. Reigning champions want to take home court advantage and score first two points in Main Round…
“We are facing a very tough game, because Randers is a very good team. They play good defense, they are fast, excellent in transition and it will not be easy. I think we improved ur game against Larvik comparing the game with Györi Audi ETO KC, especially in defense. Attack was a little weaker, but this week we have been working on this segment, so I hope that it will be much better”, right wing Radmila Miljanić said.
“I am an optimist, this young team need a lot of support, because we can play a lot better. I hope we can do it on Sunday, also i next games”, Miljanić added.
