Norwegian champions have bolstered their squad for the next season with Alma Hasanic.
Larvik sign young goalkeeper
Women´s EHF Champions League semi-finalists Larvik HK have signed a young keeper to supplement their two veterans Lene Rantala and Cecilie Leganger.
23-year-old former junior national team keeper Alma Hasanic is joining the Norwegian champions on a three year contract from domestic league colleagues Glassverket IF after this season.
Recently, Larvik´s head coach Ole Gustav Gjekstad predicted that the club was going to sign three new talented players for the coming years. After having announced the arrival of left winger Jeannett Kristiansen and line player Lise Løke, Alma Hasanic appears to be completing this trio.
“We have been looking for a young goalkeeper with ambitions. She will be joining our goalkeeper team with Lene and Cecilie, and she will be an important figure there. Her performances for Glassverket this season have been very good," Gjekstad told Larvik´s website about his new goalkeeper who cannot only save the opposing teams´ shots, but who has also distinguished herself by scoring two goals in her 49 league matches for Glassverket.
Hasanic has been in the squad for the Norwegian national team, but has not yet had her debut.
Larvik will face Slovenia´s Krim Mercator in the semi-final of the European top flight with the first leg match on 6 April in Norway and the second leg on 13 April in Ljubljana.
