The mission of the charity event remains the same – enjoy a day of golf and support cancer care
Successful golf tournament goes into the second edition
The idea of adding one day on the green lawn to two days at the blue-lagoon court turned into a great success last year as the premiere edition of the VELUX EHF FINAL4 Charity Golf Tournament took place in support of the German Cancer Aid.
The event supported by adidas and held during the VELUX EHF FINAL4 weekend attracted considerable interest as well as celebrity and amateur players. All proceeds from the event went to supporting cancer care and a total amount of €38,826.13 were raised last year - the largest amount to be donated to a charity partner since the event began in 2010.
On Friday, 31 May 2013 at 12:00 hrs former players, EHF officials, media representatives as well as some lucky auction winners will unpack their golf clubs again at Golf & Country Club Velderhof to collect money for Deutsche Krebshilfe.
In the upcoming second edition, golfers have again the opportunity to team up with and compete against VIP, and to share the tournament’s special atmosphere. The entry fee will be donated to the German Cancer Aid.
The winner of the tournament gets a personal golf club fitting at the TaylorMade Center of Excellence in Herzogenaurach, Germany, including a brand new TaylorMade iron set and many other prizes.
