Almost 12 hours of VELUX EHF FINAL4 action live on ehfTV.com
Up to 12 hours of top handball entertainment, with several brand new features included, will be shown on ehfTV.com over the VELUX EHF FINAL4 weekend from Cologne, Germany as both a jubilee and a record-breaking club season is coming to an end.
Handball fans across the world will be able to follow not only the final four matches of the 20th edition of the VELUX EHF Champions League, but also attractive features including pre-match interviews from teams' dressing rooms, opening and awarding ceremonies, press conferences and much more.
“FREE THROW“ - The EHF Handball Talk
The coverage of handball mega event will start as early as on Saturday, 1 June at 12:00 hrs with a live streaming of a podium discussion with former top-class players as Christian Schwarzer, Stefan Kretzschmar, François-Xavier Houlet and Tomas Svensson are to take part in the “FREE THROW“ - The EHF Handball Talk.
All fans can choose to watch the discussion about their ideas for the future development of the sport either in English or German exclusively on ehfTV.com.
Broadcasts start 30 minutes prior the matches
All broadcasts of matches will start 30 minutes before their respective throw-offs – i.e. at 14:45 hrs and 17:30 hrs on both days. A colourful variety of sequences showing teams' arrivals to the arena, flash interviews from dressing rooms, their warming up before the match or the highlights of their road to the VELUX EHF FINAL4 will be offered to viewers before the action on the court starts.
English commentary from Tom Ó Brannagáin
A familiar voice and the unique style of ehfTV.com commentator Tom Ó Brannagáin will guide the spectators through the matches as he returns to Cologne for the fourth time in a row. The cooperation between ehfTV.com and the Irishman started in 2009 at the final in Kiel and he covered all fourteen Matches of the Week this season again.
Ultra slow-motions and much more
There will be hardly any time for the viewers to leave the screens during the half-time or right after the matches unless they want to miss the new feature – impressive ultra high-speed slow-motion highlights with music, flash interviews with two players followed by the official press conference. New graphic elements will be also implented for the first time during the transmissions as fans will be able to watch split screen presentation of star players or coaches before the matches or the scoring timeline graphic.
Record-breaking season on ehfTV.com
For the first time all handball fans have not missed a single match in this season of both elite European club competitions. All matches starting from Group Phase of the VELUX EHF Champions League and Group Matches of the Women´s EHF Champions League have been broadcast live on ehfTV.com and the videos of all matches have been also on demand.
Furthermore, fully produced highlights magazine - "Rewind - the handball show" with feature stories and highlights from all men´s top matches was played out every Monday after each playing round.
The complete coverage of all matches means that before the VELUX EHF FINAL4 in Cologne handball supporters were spoilt by 144 men's and 78 women's matches. Together with the final weekend's coverage, the record number of more than 250 hours of live handball will be shown on ehfTV.com this season.
