EHF EURO 2014 final tournament draw procedure released
Following the completion of the EHF EURO 2014 Qualification Phase 2, the procedure for the final tournament draw, taking place on Friday, 21 June, in Herning (Denmark) has been released.
The following teams have qualified for the Men's EHF EURO 2014:
Denmark (qualified directly as hosts), Spain, Czech Republic, France, Croatia, Sweden, Iceland, Serbia, FYR Macedonia, Montenegro, Norway, Hungary, Poland, Belarus, Austria, Russia.
The draw will take place on the aforementioned date at 18.30 hrs ahead of match between Denmark and Poland at the 14,000-spectator Jyske Bank Boxen, also the venue for preliminary and main round as well as for the finals, in Herning.
The draw will be streamed live on www.ehf-euro.com. A live ticker will also be available on www.eurohandball.com and the live tweet will be available via the @ehfmedia Twitter channel.
The participating teams are seeded as follows on the basis of the qualification groups and the ranking of the EHF EURO 2012.
Pot 1: Denmark, Serbia, Croatia, Spain
Pot 2: Czech Republic, Iceland, France, Sweden
Pot 3: FYR Macedonia, Belarus, Hungary, Poland
Pot 4: Norway, Austria, Montenegro, Russia

During the first step three teams of pot 4 will be drawn to row 4. During the second step three teams of pot 3 will be drawn to row 3.
During the third step three teams of pot 2 will be drawn to row 2. The draw concludes with the fourth step during which three teams of pot 1 will be drawn to row 1.
Herning, Copenhagen, Aarhus and Aalborg are the confirmed hosting cities for the preliminary round. The main round will take place in Herning and Aarhus and the finals will be played in Herning.
The EHF EURO 2014 takes place from 12 to 26 January 2014.
