BM Atlético Madrid statement

An official statement from Atlético de Madrid, signed by his president Domingo Díaz de Mera, has been released on Tuesday by the Spanish club.

“Due to the present difficulties being experienced by our economy that it affects all entities, including the sporting ones, our company has taken the decision to not continue in their activity, and in accordance to that we will be closing all sections of it,” the statement says.

The EHF is in contact with a club and will now analyse this situation concerning the VELUX EHF Champions League 2013/14. Further information will be provided once it is available.
