TOURNAMENT REVIEW: Three-day tournaments from 10 to 12 January decided the remaining 15 places for the final tournament in Poland in August 2014
Starting line-up for Men's 18 EHF EURO in Poland is complete
Nine tournaments over the course of three days (10 to 12 January) have decided the remaining 15 spots aside hosts Poland for the Men's 18 EHF EURO 2014 in August this year.
The top two ranked teams qualified from Groups 1 to 6 while only the first ranked team qualified from Groups 7 to 9.
In Group 1 Germany and Hungary qualified with two wins and a draw each.
Sweden remained unbeaten in Group 2 and was followed by Iceland with four points. The similar constellation occured in Group 3 where France won all three matches and Denmark qualied with two wins.
Also in Group 4 there proved to be an unbeatable team with Spain winning all three matches. Czech Republic came second in this group.
Russia and Switzerland qualified with 5 points each in Group 5 and Croatia and FYR Macedonia went through from Group 6.
Groups 7 to 9 were more contested as there was only one qualification spot available. Serbia were the top team in Group 7, Romania in Group 8 and Belarus in Group 9.
