Omeyer leads France to a big win
The reigning Olympic winners made it four wins out of four matches at the EHF EURO 2014 on Sunday night as France beat Croatia 27:25 in a top match for the first position in Group II in Aarhus.
The legendary goalkeeper of “Les bleus” Thierry Omeyer had a night of his own as he dominated over Croatian shots in the second half and preserved a clean sheet for his team.
In the first match of the opening day in Group II Poland luckily beat Belarus 31:30 as they scored two goals in the last minute. Russia slipped another victory out of their hands as they failed to complete an impressive second-half run against Sweden (27:29).
