The ticket presale for next year's VELUX EHF FINAL4 started on Saturday and has already been a huge success
Almost 3,000 tickets sold for 2015 event
After the big success of the 2013 ticket presale at the VELUX EHF FINAL4, fans in Cologne had once again the opportunity to get their ticket for next year’s edition of the VELUX EHF FINAL4. In 2013, over 3,000 fans had already bought their ticket for the 2014 edition at the final weekend. This year the demand is even higher as more than 2,900 fans got their tickets for the VELUX EHF FINAL4 2015 on the first day.
At 11.30 hrs, Alexander Mader (35) from Kornwestheim was the first to get tickets for next year’s edition. “We have been here every year and last year we got tickets at the presale as well. We came here this early today to make sure that we will get tickets in the first row again.”
For Alexander, the mix between worldclass handball and the city of Cologne is perfect. ”We like the city of Cologne and the four best handball teams in the world play here. On top of that, the event is perfectly organised and you can watch great handball games. We always stay a little longer in Cologne to enjoy the city. It is just fantastic.”
Andreas Köster (50) from Friedrichshafen has already bought his tickets for the 2015 VELUX EHF FINAL4 too. “We are here for the first time. I am actually a football player but my son plays handball. We came here because of the atmosphere and we have also been at the Opening party yesterday night. So far, we like it a lot.”
A group of friends from Norway also got their 2015 tickets on Saturday noon. “We are a bunch of friends from Norway and we come here every year. We have just bought our tickets to get good seats while watching the best handball players on the court.”
Whereas Alxander could buy his tickets in peace at 11.30 hrs, Patrick Schanze (25) from Kassel had to wait in line for 40 minutes to get his tickets for 2015. “It was worth it. We have been here for the last three years and if you want to get good seats, you need to stand in line now.”
For Patrick, it was obvious that he would want to come back to Cologne next year. “It is the biggest arena in Europe and a European stage for the best handball teams in the world. When you are in Cologne, you meet so many nations, see so many clubs and different fans and everybody is just celebrating together. That is just amazing.”
