Throw-off time changes for Metz vs Györ

The European Handball Federation has decided to adapt the throw-off time of the Women's EHF Champions League Main Round in order to secure exactly the same timing for two crucial last round matches in Group 2 on Sunday.

The situation in Group 2 is still open and even one match before the conclusion of the main round phase it is not yet decided which teams will qualify for the quarter-finals. Apart from Larvik and Györ, who are already qualified, there are two further teams out of Viborg, Metz and Baia Mare which will make it to the next round.

As the two matches Metz vs. Györ and Baia Mare vs. Viborg have a direct influence on the ranking of the teams involved and the result of both these matches  will have a direct impact on the situation in the other match, the EHF decided to adapt the throw-off time in a way that both matches will start exactly at the same time.

After having coordinated this issue with the EHFM and their TV-partners the match between Metz and Viborg in Metz will start two hours later (19.00 hrs, instead of 17.00 hrs.) while the throw-off time of the game in Baia Mare remains unchanged. As there is a one hour time difference between Metz and Baia Mare, the matches will then start at the same time.
