Hungary also dominated the men’s event two years ago. They beat Turkey in the final. Denmark took bronze with a win against Russia.

The Younger Age Category European Beach Handball Championships will also see a change of regulations coming into effect.

For the first time in-flight goals and penalties will be awarded with three points instead of two. This change does not apply to the European Beach Handball Championships for senior national teams.
