2015 EHF Referee & Delegate Seminar

Ahead of the all-important Men’s EHF EURO 2016 in Poland, the EHF is hosting a combined EHF Referee / Delegate event 28 to 30 August 2015 in Vienna.

This event will initiate the referee's and delegate's preparation prior to the major tournament in January next year.

The 2015 EHF Referee Seminar will be held with 14 pairs out of which 12 pairs will be selected for the EHF Men’s EURO.

Referees: Gousko / Repkin (BLR); Gubica / Milosevic (CRO); Horacek/ Novotny (CZE); Gjeding / Hansen (DEN); Raluy / Sabroso / (ESP); Pichon / Reveret / (FRA); Geipel / Helbig / (GER); Stolarovs / Licis / (LAT); Mazeika / Gatelis / (LTU); Nachevski / Nikolov / (MKD); Leszczynski / Piechota / (POL); Santos / Fonseca / (POR); Stark / Stefan (ROU); Johansson / Kliko (SWE).

With the EHF striving towards attaining a new level of preparation for referees, this extensive and exclusive seminar programme will include, amongst other major issues, the following key points:

  • Physical fitness assessment testing (shuttle run with lactate) and follow-up programmes

  • Mental skills and methods (with emphasis on emotions and performance, body language and stress performance)

  • On-court officiating (video examples)

  • Pro-active discussions regarding primary points of cooperation with the EHF delegates

  • Stressing the importance of coherence in behaviour and actions
     

EHF Delegates Group nominated for the  EHF Men’s EURO 2016 in Poland are: Hausleitner (AUT); Antoniou (CYP); Konecny (CZE); La Cour (DEN); Arponen (FIN); Gremmel (GER); Andorka (HUN); Nachevski (MKD); Baum (POL); Coelho (POR); Djurkovic (SRB); Konopliastiy (UKR); Sotiris Migas (GRE).

The EHF Delegate task training will focus on:

  • EHF Delegate Task Agenda (from arrival to departure) - event management, game administration

  • EHF Delegate performance features “before- during- after” the game

  • Behaviour and Performance Training Tools

  • Observer system and online platform instruction
