Romanian Handball Federation fined
The EHF Court of Handball has rendered a decision following proceedings opened against the Romanian Handball Federation following the Men's EHF EURO 2018 Qualification Phase 1 match: Romania (ROU) vs Italy (ITA) on 14 June 2015. The national federation shall pay two fines amounting in total to €2,000 for the following reasons:
- €1,600 imposed for having failed to host the match in a playing hall composed of two grand stands on both long sides in violation of Article 23 of the EHF EURO Qualification Regulations.
- €400 imposed for non-respect of the safety zone distances surrounding the playing court as defined in Rule 1:1 of IHF Rules of the Game.
Half of each fine is imposed on a suspended basis with a probation period of one (1) year starting from the date of the present decision.
The decision may be appealed with the EHF Court of Appeal within seven days.
