Draw for 2016 Women’s U20 World Championship

The draw for the 2016 Women’s U20 World Championship was made during the EHF Conference of Presidents. The final tournament will be played in Russia in summer 2016.

31 teams are entered in the tournament from Europe. Four nations have qualified directly: Denmark, Romania, Russia and Sweden.

27 nations will play in qualification for eight places in the final tournament. Qualification will be played in six groups of four teams and one group of three teams. Two teams will qualify from Group 1 and one from each of Groups 2-7.
