Glassverket to host the Qualification Tournament 1

After having received the confirmation from the club Glassverket regarding their readiness to organise the Women's EHF Champions League Qualification Tournament 1 the EHF in cooperation with the EHF Marketing GmbH has evaluated the situation and can now confirm the Norwegian club as the organiser of the tournament.

Glassverket, who also hosted the qualification group last year, were awarded the first right to organise the tournament by a draw on 29 June. On 10 and 11 September in the Drammenshallen in Drammen, Norway, they will host Ankara Yenimahalle BSK, HC Podravka Vegeta and SERCODAK Dalfsen.

Only the winner of the tournament will obtain the ticket for the Group Matches and qualify for Group A, where Buducnost, Thüringer HC and Metz Handball await.

In the semi-finals Glassverket play against the Turkish champions Ankara Yenimahalle BSK, while Croatian title holders HC Podravka Vegeta face Dutch champions SERCODAK Dalfsen.

The runners-up and the third team of this group will carry on in the EHF Cup Round 3, while the bottom ranked team will start already in the second round facing the winner of the Round 1 match between ZRK Izvor Bukovicka Banja and AC Latsia Nikosia.

The exact playing times of the matches will be coordinated by the EHFM with all partners concerned and will be communicated in due time.
