The EHF has released a complete overview of the election results and subsequent nominations to all of the federation’s political bodies
 

EHF Congress 2016: Election results overview

Following the 13th Ordinary EHF Congress in St. Wolfgang, the EHF has now published an overview of the federation’s political bodies.

Out of the 59 positions either elected or nominated there are a total of 22 new people who have not previously held office within the EHF.

A total of 30 nations out of the EHF’s membership of 50 are represented in the new political structure.

43 men and 16 women hold positions, with the EHF Executive Committee having nominated a number of additional people to commissions to ensure gender representation.

Janka Stasova (SVK) and Ketevan Koberidze (GEO) were nominated to the Court of Appeal and Marta Bon (SLO) was nominated to the Methods Commission. Jelena Rakonjac from Serbia was also nominated for the Beach Handball Commission.

The Executive also confirmed the Women’s Forum Club Handball nomination of Deja Ivanovic to the Women’s Handball Board.

Narcisa Lecusanu (ROU) was also nominated to represent the interests of the leagues and Ludmilla Bodnieva (RUS) to represent the players‘ interests.

Predrag Boskovic (MNE) will be the EHF representative on the IHF Council and confirmed the EHF President, Michael Wiederer to the position of IHF Vice President (Europe).

Two remaining positions within the EHF Executive Committee will be nominated by the Professional Handball Board and the Women’s Handball Board on 15 December on the fringes of the Women’s EHF EURO 2016 in Sweden.
