Final chance to join the EHF EURO 2020 Qualification
Three spots in the Men's EHF EURO 2020 Qualification are up for grabs when the IHF Emerging Nations Championship takes place in Bulgaria from 12 to 18 June 2017.
15 European teams plus China take part in the event, including Cyprus, Faroe Islands, Turkey, Kosovo, Luxembourg and Georgia, who already played the first qualification phase en route to the EHF EURO 2020 but only placed second or third.
For the teams of Bulgaria, Albania, Malta, Andorra, Armenia, Ireland, Great Britain, Azerbaijan and Moldova this is their first shot at securing a berth at the EHF EURO 2020 Qualification.
The group phase draw has taken place and the groups look as follows

The first two teams of each group qualify for the quarter-finals.
The top three ranked teams eventually qualify for the main EHF EURO 2020 Qualification which will start in October 2018.
The Men's EHF EURO 2020 will be a milestone in handball history as it will be the first European Championship with 24 teams. It will be played in Sweden, Austria and Norway in January 2020.
