Meet Europe’s top players, enjoy good music and celebrate the beginning of the biggest weekend in club handball with an international crowd at the VELUX EHF FINAL4 Opening Party Friday evening 2 June at the LANXESS arena in Cologne.

Opening Party starts at 18:00 hrs

The VELUX EHF FINAL4 2017 takes place on 3/4 June but starts traditionally on Friday evening when thousands of handball fans from all over the world enter the area around the arena and celebrate the upcoming event.

In front of the stage fans will have the possibility to see players from the participating teams, answering questions about the matches they are going to face just one day later. After the presentation there will be an autograph session inside the LANXESS arena for fans to take a photo or get an autograph from their favourite players.

Fans will also have the chance to take a picture with the desired trophy. Only two days later the new title holder will raise it in front of 19,750 spectators.

Fan village

In the fan village around the LANXESS arena handball enthusiasts can prove their skills. Among the different activities the Robokeeper will return and challenge every fan to score a goal.

Additionally, former players and handball celebrities will be among the crowd taking part in the Opening Party and enjoying the unique atmosphere of this handball spectacle.

Photobox – be part of the opening show

Fans will also find a photobox where they can take their own VELUX EHF FINAL4 picture and keep it as an unforgettable memory. Taking a photo also serves as a chance to be part of an opening show on Saturday, when the best pictures are shown on court.

During the evening the crowd can enjoy different top-class music acts and the party will end with a huge firework display which will only mark the beginning of an amazing and thrilling handball weekend.
