PREVIEW: Seven European Beach Tournament 2017 competitions will be held from Thursday to Sunday, including two events to end Greece's official beach handball activities for the season.
 

Beach handball season wraps up in Greece

The European Beach Tour 2017 continues this weekend, with seven tournaments to be held in Greece, Netherlands, Portugal, Serbia, Spain and Poland.

Novi Sad 2017 and And’Praia 2017 – Edificio Transparente open the week of ebt 2017 events on Thursday, before five more competitions begin on Friday: Camelot Beachhandball Tournament 2017, Anixi Marathon Beach Handball Tournament 2017, VII Torneo Ciudad de Medina – Arena 500, Beach Handball Delfin Gmina Grudziadz and XXIII BEACH HANDBALL PEDROGAO 2017.

The last two ebt 2017 to begin this week throw off on Saturday, with the 4a Etapa ActivoBank – CRAP Lisboa/Setubal taking place in Portugal, and the 18th Greek Crown to be held near the historic city of Marathon.

12 male and 10 female teams will compete in Novi Sad 2017, with teams from Serbia, Slovenia, Hungary and Croatia. The event will begin with a children’s tournament on Thursday, in which approximately 150 children are expected to take part.

A total of 44 senior teams will contest the VII Torneo Ciudad de Medina – Arena 500, with 28 in the men’s competition and 16 in the women’s. The event will also include competitions for youth age groups and children. Fans can follow VII Torneo Ciudad de Medina on the official YouTube channel.

Camelot Beachhandball Tournament will see 16 women’s sides vying for the title, while 14 will take part in the men’s. There will also be a youth competition featuring four teams, as well as a kids’ day with participants expected to number upwards of 30 children. 16 countries will be represented by the players, referees and delegates participating in Camelot Beachhandball.

Anixi Marathon Beach Handball Tournament 2017 will take place at Marathon Sailing Club, with 16 teams participating in the men’s and women’s competitions. The tournament will feature some of Greece’s best beach handball teams, such as GAS Kilkis, A.C.Spartacus Goalbet, A.C. Kiklopes Alexandroupolis-Beachboys, AO Anixis, A.O.A.Kastorias, along with three squads from Cyprus: Univercity of Cyprus, Megabet Plus Ladiez and GAP Vasillopoulos.

The Greek Crown is Greece’s oldest beach handball event, reaching its 18th edition in 2017. The event is organised by the Hellenic Handball Federation’s Beach Handball Commission, and will be held in Attica. The 18th Greek Crown marks the end of the season’s official beach handball activities in Greece as well as the Federation’s six-tournament National Championships.
