EHF EURO hosts next generation’s final tournament draw
On the first complete rest day of the Men’s EHF EURO 2018 and one day ahead of the championship’s semi-finals, the spotlight will be on Europe’s next handball generation.
On 25 January 2018 at 15:30 hrs, the draw for the Men’s 18 EHF EURO 2018, which will be played in the Croatian cities of Varazdin and Koprivnica from 9 to 19 August, takes place in the Arena Zagreb.
A live stream of the event will be available on the EHF EURO Youtube Channel.
It is the second time in a row that Europe’s youngest national team players come to Croatia, as the nation also hosted the Men’s 18 EHF EURO 2016 in Zagreb and Koprivnica.
Two years ago, France won the event ahead of Croatia and Germany.
Based on the younger age category competitions ranking valid for the Men’s 18 EHF EURO 2018, the 16 participating nations have been seeded in the following pots
Pot 1: France, Croatia, Germany, Slovenia
Pot 2: Denmark, Spain, Iceland, Serbia
Pot 3: Sweden, Portugal, Russia, Norway
Pot 4: Poland, Hungary, Israel, Romania
Croatia as organisers have the right to choose the group after the rows 4, 3, and 2 have been drawn.
