OFFICIAL STATEMENT: Court of Handball has suspended the head coach of HC Zalau for two matches following his unsportmanlike behaviour in the first leg against Kastamonu.
Tadici to miss the second leg of the quarter-final at Kastamonu
The Court of Handball has reached a decision in a disciplinary case open following the direct disqualification of the coach Gheorghe Tadici during the Women's EHF Cup 2017/18 Quarter-final (1st leg) match: HC Zalau (ROU) vs. Kastamanou Belediyesi GSK (TUR).
The coach continuously protested and went beyond the limits of his dedicated area. He was thus directly disqualified. After this sanction, the coach did not leave immediately the playing court and incited the crowd such as to create a negative atmosphere which caused a match interruption.
After the match, the coach waited next to the dressing rooms for the EHF referees to arrive in order to protest once again.
The court found this behaviour unsportsmanlike and deserving further sanctions.
Hence, the coach is suspended from the participation in EHF club competitions for two matches, one of which is deferred for a probationary period of two years. This means that Tadici cannot be present on the bench of his team in the second leg match at Kastamonu this Sunday.
An appeal may be filed within seven days and shall not have any suspensive effect.
