GROUP A PREVIEW: The defending Men’s EHF Cup champions from Berlin will lock up top spot in the group and a place in the quarter-finals if they earn at least a point in France on Saturday.
Füchse visit Saint-Raphaël with group win at stake
The clash between Saint-Raphaël Var Handball and Füchse Berlin, scheduled for Saturday night, will decide a lot of things in Group A of the Men’s EHF Cup Group Phase.
The title-holders from Germany will win the group and earn a ticket for the quarter-finals if they get at least a draw; the hosts from France will need a five-goal win to get a reasonable chance of finishing the group in first place.
In the other game, already-eliminated Balatonfüred host La Rioja. The Spanish side can only maintain their slim chance of finishing second if Saint-Raphaël have lost to Füchse the day before.
