MIDWEEK PREVIEW: Two of group C’s unbeaten sides, Sävehof and Sporting, clash on Thursday evening in Partille
Perfect records put to the test in Sweden
After just two rounds of the VELUX EHF Champions League, group C has been split in two, with three teams on maximum points and three without a point to their name.
This situation means that Thursday’s clash between IK Sävehof and Sporting CP gives both sides an opportunity to take a big step forward in the race for the top two places at this early stage.
Sävehof’s young squad has settled into life in Europe’s top flight nicely so far, but the visit of last season’s Last 16 participants will be their toughest test to date.
