For eight national teams, the paths towards the Men’s EHF EURO 2028 and 2027 IHF Men’s World Championship were set on Thursday afternoon, as two draws took place at the EHF headquarters in Vienna. Six teams contesting the promotion round as part of the Men's EHF EURO 2028 Qualifiers learned their opponents for that stage, and three pairings for phase 1 of the European qualification for the World Championship in two years were also set.
