Six days of thrills on the sand in Alanya, Türkiye came to an end on Sunday night when the EHF Beach Handball EURO 2025 titles were decided with two new champions crowned.
Germany celebrated their first European trophy in the men's competition after beating Spain in a shootout that went to "sudden death." Spain did have the chance to celebrate however, as the women's team then defeated Norway in a shootout to claim their maiden title.
Both 3/4 placement matches also went to shootouts that needed "sudden death" to find the winners. The men's competition saw Croatia beat Hungary while Germany defeated the Netherlands in the women's.
